More on Jason Itzler and Sumnicht's Death

I have discussed Jason Itzler of New York Confidential fame in the last two posts. For the full picture read both first:

Be clear on my viewpoint here that whoever drugged Julia Sumnicht with GHB (the date rape drug) back in March of 2010, deserves to pay legally for her tragic death. I just do not believe that it was Itzler. I do believe that he was set-up within a few weeks of starting a new business as a result of someone's perception that he drugged this girl, so the end result is that Jason Itzler will pay for her death whether he had anything whatsoever to do with it or not.

I do not like Itzler much as is evident by my last two blog posts. This should give weight to my defense of the guy and I do hope that the Sumnicht family's private investigators take notice of my thoughts. I am sure not his friend, though I do not doubt that he has friends, unlike the party that commented on the one post. I do read people decently and my take is that Itzler was also a victim that could have died that day.

The fact is that Itzler has too many enemies to consider a return to the escort business. He screwed-up royally with that move. The same could be stated about me having too many enemies, except that I stay a far distance from drugs and anyone involved with them so I have less to fear. Still... Regardless, Itzler should never have made a return to the business and by the looks of his situation today, it has cost him the rest of his life.

I just took a look at Itzler's case in the New York State Unified Court System and his bond is currently set at $200K in the list of charges from the “promoting prostitution” case that he was arrested in early September on. He is being represented by Legal Aid and his next appearance is on October 18, 2011.

The Miami Herald published an article on Saturday October 8, 2011:

The noted article states much more than any earlier articles anywhere. Kudos to the reporter, Lomi Kriel, for really digging around before publishing. It is a two page article and once you reach the last half of the second page, you'll see that I am not the only one not ready to throw Itzler under the bus in the case.

I have been drugged in a club before. It happened in June of 1994 in Orlando, but I was lucky as I was with a couple of my cousins that had entered the club before I did and were playing pool. I sat down at the bar and ordered a Heineken bier. The only one that ever touched that bier was the bartender and myself and trust me; I didn't drug myself. I was deathly ill for several days, but thanks to my cousins I made it home. I only drank two Heineken biers that night so it wasn't the alcohol that did it.

According to the article in the Herald, Julia Sumnicht was not drugged in any club and this comes from the timeline given by the medical examiner. The question to consider here is: Who was not drugged that day? Read the article and you'll get my point. Enough said.

you can't be a victim if you took the drug yourself knowingly. How dare you call him a victim when an innocent girl died most likely at his hands. If you actually knew the evidence you might understand...

So please do inform us of all this evidence. I only know what I stated as fact in the post and I sure as hell didn't claim it was a fact that he was a victim.

I also know that there can't be much evidence of anything or someone would have been chearged in this case. It sure isn't for lack of trying that no one is charged.

Julia Sumnicht would never have taken that drug willingly or knowingly. There was no alcohol in her blood at the time of her death. Both of those men are guilty of murder. Now Julia's family gets to live the rest of their lives grieving what could have been. It ain't over till the fat lady sings...

Julia didn't do drugs, and from what I understand this piece of shit admitted to doing the date rape drug that night.

Okay, well unless you're referring to talk around the water cooler (gossip), please do point out where he admits this - court document? transcript of something? in a newspaper article to a reporter? where?

Jason Itzler is out on parole from the case described in this post - was out around mid-February 2015. I haven't heard of his arrest in the Sumnicht case if he has been arrested. Defendants are arrested every minute of every day on flimsy evidence, so in that Itzler has not been arrested, I doubt what you're saying.

Show me, don't tell me.

I am Julia Sumnicht's mother. Today I can tell you matter of factly that Julia was given the GHB by Jason Itzler, as stated by Zoltan Prepzent in an interview as well as through the investigative work from hired investigators.. However, because of a corrupt, incompetent and immoral police department (MBPD) who didn't do any standard operating procedures the night of her death AND wrote many corrupt investigative reports, her case will never be solved. I know who gave her the drug through the work of paid cold case investigators.
Her justice will be in heaven. The Almighty God will call all men to account, especially the likes of people like Itzler, Prepzent, the MBPD and Miami-Dade legal authorities.

As the mother of Julia Sumnicht who has spent nine years investigating her daughter's death, there is clear evidence that Jason Itzler gave Julia the GHB. He will not be charged due to the negligence and corruption of the MBPD. But he WILL be held accountable one day by the Almighty God who will leave nothing hidden.

@Marie Parks -

I am truly sorry for your loss. There is always hope for justice for your daughter as there is no statute of limitations on murder.

I do hope that one day you will reach out to the current detective assigned to your case. Most likely there's been a change of the guard since this happened and fresh eyes could be helpful. Don't give-up and leave it to the afterlife if you have the strength to continue to pursue the case.

I just saw your comment awaiting approval to publish. Sorry about that. After certain events in my own life, I deserted this blog, and the posts beyond that point were like forced writing. Hard to explain, but I do intend to return to blogging. I hope to post on Julia's case again soon. Perhaps rattling the cage will shake-up the investigation.
